2010 Music/Dance Grant Program a success

18 August, 2010

In 2010 CCC Celt, with the help of an IBM Community Grant of $1,000,  awarded $2,100 to  9 persons involved in Celtic music and dance. Eight of these people were youngsters between 7 and 12 years old. The 9th was a senior citizen. The grants covered the purchasing of equipment (a fiddle, a beginner set of Irish pipes, a snare drum for a pipe band), lessons (dance and music) and travel expenses to competitions.

We considered the program so successful that we have raised our commitment to $2,000 for 2011. That program will be announced in November.

Stop by the festivals for great music and dance, and while there stop by our booth to learn more about the Celtic Collection.

Welcome to CCC Celt

4 June, 2009

Welcome to the CCC Celt web site. We are a small non-profit association whose primary purpose is the “care and feeding” of a Celtic Library which we started in 1990.

This Celtic Library is really a Celtic Collection, including books, CDs, DVDs, videos and audio books, housed primarily in the Bucks County Community College Library. Over the past 18 months we have also been placing materials in the other 18 libraries within the county.

These materials are available to those of you outside Bucks County through Intra-Library loan, which your local library will explain to you. To see the extent of our Collection, go here. This site will also link you to the other Bucks County libraries.

Other Sections of this site will go into detail on our Collection as well as our other programs. Please use our Contact page if you have any questions or just want additional information.
